From our portfolio
They told us their problem. We found a solution that worked for them. With our approach, a challenge that expands in scope and complexity results in a successful long-term relationship.
Lifeline / Connect America
Engagement: 2015–Present
The Challenge
Lifeline needed an agency partner for fast-turnaround email production for caregiver and senior audiences — with ability to scale into additional channels as needs grew.
What We Did
- Quarterly e-newsletters evolving to monthly sends for two audience segments
- Daily outbound email campaigns with monthly performance reporting
- Animated and instructional videos for US, Canadian, and German operations
- Multi-channel lead nurture program processing 10,000+ daily records across email, letters, postcards, self-mailers, and robocalls
- Ongoing data processing and analytics for campaign optimization
The Result
A single quarterly newsletter became a full-scope engagement spanning every outbound marketing channel. We became an embedded extension of Lifeline's marketing department — exactly the relationship model we build with every client.
HealthForge Venture Studio
Engagement: Ongoing
The Challenge
HealthForge is a Pittsburgh-based venture studio that guides early-stage medical device companies through three structured programs — Beachhead, Refinery, and Forge. They needed a comprehensive marketing program for the studio itself, a web presence that reflected that framework, and a communications resource their portfolio startups could actually access.
What We Did
- Engineered the digital infrastructure that brings the Beachhead program to life — giving cohort companies a structured way to document and capture their training session work, while giving HealthForge the visibility to monitor progress and mentor each group
- Built the HealthForge website from design specs provided by the founder — taking his PowerPoint layout and turning it into a live, functional site
- Scheduled ongoing website maintenance, and content updates will be done as the venture studio evolves
- Established marketing and communications support for portfolio startups — from pitch materials to product messaging — on an as-needed basis
The Result
HealthForge now has a marketing infrastructure that matches the sophistication of their programs — and their startups have access to agency-level communications support without carrying the overhead of an in-house team. Exactly the model The Barry Group was built to deliver.
From Rough Concept to Working Tool

We started with this concept and turned it into this fully functional online tool.
Digital Onboarding & Workflow Automations
Engagement: 2012–Present
The Challenge
Most companies collect the same information over and over — the same name, the same number, typed into one form after another. Every re-entry invites an error someone has to catch later. Every extra step is a rougher first impression for the person filling it out. And the automation that would tie it all together — across forms, records, documents, and systems that don't naturally talk — is exactly what most teams can't build or maintain on their own.
Employee onboarding is a great example: a new hire completes a W-4, an I-9, a direct deposit form, and a local tax form — the same details entered four times, four chances for a typo, and four documents for someone to collect, verify, and re-key.
What We Did
We build systems where the information is entered once. That one entry is populated on every required form. We capture a genuine signature, and the employer gets a single PDF with every form they need. The workflow automation — the part most teams can't build or run on their own — connects forms, records, documents, and separate platforms into one process that works — and keeps working regardless of how the company scales.
Our online workflows serve three audiences at once — and each gets something different:
The Result
The employee is done in 3–5 minutes instead of 15–20. The business spends 60–70% less time on each one — no mismatched data to chase, nothing missing, nothing to re-key. The employer looks buttoned-up from the first handshake. One new employee, one completed onboarding packet.
And, it isn't just onboarding. For a payroll client, we integrated their CRM with their payroll platform so once a new employee's information is collected, it's immediately added and available for the next payroll run — no re-keying, no errors, and no wasted time. For another client, we've integrated their website with their Microsoft SharePoint folders, their CRM, their invoicing application, and their events ticketing platform to provide end-to-end management of all their in-person events.
For New EmployeesYou fill it out once
- Enter your basics a single time — name, address, contact, SSN, date of birth
- 3–5 minutes, not the usual 15–20
- One short, guided session — required fields can't be skipped, so nothing bounces back
- Click submit and you're done
For EmployersYour first impression, buttoned-up
- Every new hire gets a polished, on-brand welcome from day one
- One clean, signed packet — no paper chase on your end
- Look modern and organized from the first handshake
- Sets a professional tone that reflects who you are
For BusinessesThe automation you can't run yourself
- One entry populates every form — same data everywhere, zero transcription errors
- Required fields enforced — compliant, nothing missing
- 60–70% less processing time per hire
- Integrations that carry the load — data lands in payroll on its own
Professional Association & Angel Investing Communications
PEA: 2017–Present · Active Angels: 2020–Present
The Challenge
Two Pittsburgh membership organizations, two different problems, one owner. PEA needs its 28 category-protected memberships current the moment anything changes — a new member, a new weekly assignment, a new speaker lineup. Active Angels needs a fast-moving investor network kept in sync on weekly virtual pitch sessions and a monthly in-person meeting, without anyone missing a notification.
What We Did
For PEA, a Zoho Sites website wired directly into a CRM — member data lives in one place, and the category listings and weekly assignment postings update themselves the moment it changes. For Active Angels, TBG runs the weekly meeting notifications and formats and distributes the monthly newsletter.
The Result
Two very different member bases, same outcome — nobody's waiting on a manual update. PEA's category grid and weekly Product Table reflect the CRM in real time. Active Angels' membership gets the next pitch session and the monthly recap without anyone chasing them down.
